Animal Show schedule will begin with, 4H,  FFA ,Open Class,

Friday, August 11th 4H /FFA / Clover Kid Entry only

3:00 -7:00 pm     Pre-Fair Judging and Entry of  FFA/ 4-H Home Economics & General Areas Exhibits (Except Horticulture) . —                   lover Kid projects entered and interviewed –4H building.

Saturday August 12th — Open Class to Enter  / Shooting Sports

8-11:00  am   Open Class: entering in 4H building – All Home Economics, General areas & Horticulture

Judging will start after 11am.  Building is closed to Public.

9 am    4-H Shooting Sports – BB Gun Contest / Open Area west of Ballfield ((2nd Flight at 10:30 am)

Sunday, August 13th

OAB 4H Food stand opens

Food  building stand opens

8 am          Horse Show and Check In – Horse Arena

2 -8 pm     4-H Building open to public

3 -6 pm     4H Horticulture Exhibits entered and Judged

5 -9 pm     Fairgrounds Open for All Livestock. Livestock will be weighed as unloaded.

9:00 pm    ALL livestock (4-H /FFA & Open Class) MUST BE IN PLACE

9 am          Bucket Calf Show/ Beef Show – Livestock Arena

1:30 pm  .        Poultry Show (Waterfowl-Pigeons) – Livestock Arena

6 pm         Kid’s Parade

8 am            Swine Show – Livestock Arena

9 am-10 pm      4-H Building open to public

10 am–8 pm     Commercial building -Open to the Public

1 pm       Sheep Show followed by Meat Goat Show – Livestock Arena

3:30pm    Awards: Shooting Sports, Judging Contests, Herdsmanship  & McIninch Judging Trophy

4 pm     Clover Kid Pet Show – Livestock Arena

5 pm      Livestock Buyers Meal

6 pm      4-H / FFA Livestock Premium Sale – Livestock Arena

7:00 after the premium sale –     Chain Saw Wood Sculpture Auction

Proceeds of Auction Benefits Nemaha County Agricultural Society

7:30 pm  Static Exhibits Released,  4H building will remain open for one hour.

9 pm       All Livestock Released

Nemaha County Agricultural Society is not responsible for exhibits or items not picked up.

Thursday, August 17th

6 pm       Clean Up at the Fairgrounds  

Open Class entry cards may be picked up at Hair N More, Needles I Quilt Shop, the UNL Extension Office-Nemaha County Courthouse / or online at www.nemahacountyfair.org

Open Class Premium money will be handed out on Wednesday night at 7:30 pm.  Please remember to pick it up when you pick up your exhibits.

  Premium money will be held for 1 week – after that the premium money will be forfeited.

 

Parades   

6:00 pm Parades – hosted by the Nemaha County Ag Society.

Monday Parade: (Rain date: Tuesday, August 15th following kids parade)

PARADE ROUTE: begins at Courthouse Square, proceed down Courthouse Avenue, turning on 15th and K Street, ending at 10th and K Street.

No Parade Theme – “Show off who or what you are” (business, club, organization or church)

Parade line up: 5:15 pm -5:45 pm   ~   Parade begins at 6:00 pm

  • NO Pre-Registration
  • NO Numbering for Entries – Show Up and Line Up as follows:
  • Vehicle and walkers – O Street facing South (starting in front of Crackerjack Gymnastics)
  • Agricultural machinery – O Street facing North (by Nemaha Valley Museum)
  • Fire and Rescue – N Street facing South (in front of the Sheriff Office)
  • Color Guard – South side of Courthouse
  • Horses – N Street facing North (19th street by Kids of His Kingdom Daycare)
  • NO Announcers
  • Please do not leave your entry unattended parked on the street.
  • When lining up for the parade, please pull directly behind the entry in front of you.
  • Ag Society Members will be there to assist, watch for them on an ATV.
