2021 Nemaha County Fair Schedule

Animal Show schedule will be 4H, FFA, Open Class .
Please Note: In an effort to make things easier for families that have already started back to school, the
2021 4-H Fair will include the option of a Modified Show and Go. Species must be in place at the
designated times on the schedule but will have the option to leave following their show.  (It is recommended that Premium Sale Animals stay on the grounds after their show)

Wednesday August 11th – 6:00 pm Set up/ cleanup at fairgrounds
Friday, August 13th 4H /FFA / Clover Kid Entry only
3:00 -7:00 pm Pre-Fair Judging and Entry of FFA/ 4-H Home Economics & General Areas Exhibits (Except
Horticulture) . — Clover Kid projects entered and interviewed –4H building.

Saturday August 14th – Open Class to Enter
8-11:00 am Open Class: entering in 4H building – All Home Economics, General areas & Horticulture.  Judging will start at 11am

Sunday, August 15th
OAB Food stand opens at noon
Food building (Band Booster/Fine Arts) stand opens -TBA
8 am Horse Show and Check In – Horse Arena (4H then Open Class)
12:00 p.m. Poultry entered
2:00 p.m. Poultry Show (Waterfowl-Pigeons) – Livestock Arena
2:00-8:00 p.m. 4-H Building open to public
3:00 -6:00 pm 4-H Horticulture Exhibits entered and judged
5:00 -8pm Fairgrounds Open for All Livestock. (Note for 2021 only families wishing to house their
animals on the grounds during the entire fair- otherwise see livestock schedule)
Beef & Rabbits must be in place by 8 pm –

Monday, August 16th

8 am Bucket Calf Show/ Beef Show – Livestock Arena
9 am-10 pm 4-H Building open to public. (All 3 days)
10 am– 10pm Coml building open to public
1 pm Rabbit Show – Livestock Arena
3 pm Clover Kid Pet Show – Livestock Arena
4:00-5:30 pm Check-in Dairy cattle, dairy & Pygmy goats must be in place by 5:30
6 pm Parade
8 pm Pioneer & Heritage farm Awards
Free Grandstand Show – Lucas Minor Band

Tuesday, August 17th
8 am Dairy Cattle / Dairy Goat/ Pygmy Goat Show – Livestock Arena
9 am 4-H Shooting Sports – Archery Contest / Ballfield
9 am-10 pm 4-H Building open to public.
10 am–10pm Commercial building -Open to the Public
4:00 pm Registration (3:30) – Horse, Dairy, & Livestock Judging Contests – Livestock Arena 5-8 pm Check in Swine, sheep & meat Goats
5:30 pm. Pictures Top 4-H Award Winners (static) -4-H Bldg.
6:30 pm FFA Ag Olympics
7 pm Little Tuggers Tractor Pull registration –
Pull at 7:15 pm
8:00-11:00 Fred Huffman Band – Humdinger

Wednesday, August 18
8 am Swine Show – Livestock Arena
9 am-10 pm 4-H Building open to public
10 am–9 pm Commercial building -Open to the Public
10 am Shooting Sports – BB Gun Contest / Open Area
1 pm Sheep Show followed by Meat Goat Show – Livestock Arena
4 pm Rocket Launch (weather permitting)
5 pm Premium Sale Animals must be on the Fairgrounds (It is recommended that Premium Sale
Animals stay on the grounds after their show
5:30 pm Livestock Buyers Meal
6 pm Presentation of McIninch Judging Trophy & Judging Contests & Herdsmanship Awards
6 pm 4-H / FFA Livestock Premium Sale – Livestock Arena
7:30 Chain saw Wood Sculpture Auction –
Proceeds of Auction Benefits Nemaha County Agricultural Society
9 pm All Exhibits Released (4-H / FFA and Open Class).
(4-H Building Will Be Open For 1 Hour)
Nemaha County Agricultural Society is not responsible for exhibits or items not picked up.

Thursdy, August 19
6 pm Clean Up at the Fairground

PARADE ROUTE: begins at Courthouse Square, proceed down Courthouse Avenue, turning on 15th and K Street, ending at 10th and K Street.

New for 2021 —  Parade line up: 4:30-5:45 pm   ~   Parade begins at 6:00 pm

You do NOT need to Pre-Register.

LINEUP:    O Street headed South between 19th and 16th

          Agricultural machinery: O Street Headed North between 19th and 20th

          Fire and Rescue: N Street headed South between 19th and 20th (front of Sheriff Office)

        Color Guard:  on South side of Courthouse

         Horses:  N Street headed North between 19th and 20th

WRITE UP: Please bring 2 copies of your short write-up for the parade announcer with the information/advertisement, form located above.  Ag Society member will pick up form after you are parked.

– For assistance watch for an Ag Society Member driving an ATV.

– Please do not leave your entry unattended parked on the street.

– When lining up for the parade, please pull directly behind the entry in

front of you. Do not leave large gaps, park next to the curb, leaving the

center of the street open.
